Master Control Operator
After training for 3 months, I worked on night shift programming the shows and monitoring the live feed. I quickly moved into Prime Time shift and began running live sports games daily on various networks throughout the country. Every network and producer works a little differently, so every day was an adjustment.
• I prepped for rain delays and technical difficulties.
• We were required to respond to any technical difficulties within 3 seconds and then communicate with the team in the trucks at the games as well as our supervisors so it could be fixed as soon as possible.
• I would prep and run the commercial breaks and count the producers back onto air.
• When live games weren't running, I would make sure the programming was as scheduled and then monitor it during my shift to ensure that it ran smoothly.
Broadcast Operator
• Filmed, edited, and created Daily Morning Show by using a Panasonic Camcorder HPX170, Avid, Final Cut Pro, green screen, sound effects, and After Effects. Prepared updated show each day to be ready to view the following day.
• Filmed and created commercials for revenue partners onboard, guest entertainers, and for activities.
• Managed TV channels and updated programs/information per port.
