Early Stage SaaS Startup Gains Traction, And a New Audience
In September 2020, I started working with a SaaS startup to create the marketing strategy for demand gen. Refer Me Job connects job seekers with employees in companies the job seekers are applying to in order to get more information about the company and hiring process, and even a referral for the job.
Instead of just focusing on job seekers and employees as our audiences, I added HR departments, created buying personas for each audience, and created and executed an HR demand gen campaign. I started with making connections at HR events and then sending personalized outreach via LinkedIn and email with messaging tailored based on the personas. I also worked with the UX team to ensure a smooth journey in-app. By the end of my contract we had meetings set up with HR departments of businesses throughout the U.S., including Corning.
