Meet the Survivors

Polio continues to spread in Pakistan. Even though safe and effective vaccine drops are available, preventing the worst cases of polio in children, misconceptions and damaging theories about the vaccines are rampant. we helped to try and solve the problem through the Polio Free Pakistan campaign, which brought polio survivors face-to-face with skeptics to tell their stories about how polio has affected them and their families' lives, and how they wish they had given their children the vaccine drops. Within a year of the campaign, polio cases in Pakistan plummeted, as uptake in the preventative treatment grew.
